Pain relief for patients with chronic low back pain

Leiden University Medical Center researchers have made another important step toward personalized pain treatment based on the patient’s pain modulation profile. Clinical use of dynamic QST seems promising than ever.

"The endogenous pain system may be used as a biomarker in the pharmacological treatment of patients with CLBP [chronic lower back pain], enabling an individualized, mechanism-based treatment approach."
